CASE STUDY
M3 DATA CENTRE
The M3 data centre is one of Melbourne’s largest, and PCF delivered two stages of the program for Kapitol Group. Together they account for more than 42,000m² of data halls, close to 15,000m³ of concrete and almost 2,900 precast panels, formed across twelve months of works. Every floor was built to a 6m height to suit the mechanical and electrical fit-out that follows.
Data centre work rewards repetition done well. PCF ran tight, repeatable pour cycles across both stages, holding a consistent floor cycle from start to finish and meeting each program in turn. Precast panels were installed alongside the in-situ structure to keep the floors moving at the pace the program demanded, and the methodology proven on the earlier stage carried directly into the later one.
